We sold this new Tudor 25500TN titanium Pelagos very quickly as Tudor watches are especially in demand by collectors in the USA. The demand should only go up as Tudor has just returned to the US in 2013 and people receive more exposure to the long absent Tudor brand here in America.
The Tudor Pelagos has a 42mm case made entirely of titanium. The finish is satin brushed, and all four lugs are chamfer/bevel finished, a very nice throwback touch not found on the current ceramic lineup that Rolex offers. The Pelagos crown bears the Tudor symbol and has pointed crown guards. The Pelagos is water and pressure proof to 1640ft/500m, and houses a helium escape valve HEV on the left side of the case at the 9 o’clock, exactly like a Rolex 16600 Sea Dweller. It features a top tier ETA movement that has been modified, decorated, and engraved by Tudor. Power reserve is 38 hours.
On the dial, the Pelagos has a tribute snowflake hour hand. The date is at the 3 o’clock without a sapphire cyclop. The word “Pelagos” is not printed on the dial. The blue lume on the Pelagos is one of the best and brightest of any watch from any Swiss brand. The bezel is made of injected matte ceramic; it has a painted on pearl, and the lume on the bezel glows bright blue like the dial lume. The titanium bracelet is completely satin brushed, and we consider that a true sign that the Pelagos is a real tool watch meant to be worn on all occasions. The clasp has a spring based self adjustment system, for a concept similar to Rolex’s 116610 Submariner glidelock adjustment system, but only time will tell how the springs will hold up to wear and daily adjustment.
The Tudor Pelagos is one of the best watches on the market today, and we say that because at this price point you are really getting a whole lot for your money. Our buyer snatched up this Pelagos very quickly, but we do have more in stock please just contact us.
